Bouncing the Rubble
In a talk given years ago about reforming public schools, the speaker quipped “What are you going to do – bounce the rubble?” In a system now dominated by statists and very left wing teacher unions, academic results are really not the goal. They are not so much trying and failing. They are succeeding at a goal not shared by parents. The real achievement test and measure of their success are elections and the voting trend of the young – increasingly socialist and statist.
